The Museum of Television & Radio in New York seeks to fill the position of Museum Educator. This is a full-time, regularly scheduled exempt position with corresponding Museum benefits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Developing and implementing educational and interpretive programs for the School and Family Program, both single and multi-part formats, both on-site, at the Museum, and off-site, at participating-partner schools
• Developing age-appropriate curriculum materials such as pre- and post- visit materials
• With other Educators, rotating responsibility and scheduling of special weekend programs (such as Festivals and Special Events), when they occur
• Administrative Duties in areas such as Database Management, Finance, Reservations and Confirmations, Scholars Room, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Masters degree in Museum Education or related field preferred
• Excellent teaching skills
• Team Oriented
• Competence in museum education methodology
• Familiarity with education theory and curriculum development
• Familiarity with New York City's public and private school systems a plus
• Mature and self-assured
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Organizational, interpersonal, research, writing, clerical, and computer skills
