Superior Court Judge Maricopa County, Arizona Research topic: Legal Aspects of Ownership: Contrasting Cultural and Biological Collections Dates of residency: December 2002 Carol E Mayer, Ph.D Museum of Anthropology University of British Columbia Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Research topic: International Collaboration Between Canada, USA, and Pacific Islands that Addresses the Legacy of Early Collecting Practices Dates of residency: December 2002 and June - August 2003 Smithsonian Fellowships in Museum Practice provides grants to museum practitioners and scholars to research and write about topics of interest to the museum field while in residency at the Smithsonian.
