hello all!
i just started at U of Delaware (MA in History, Certification in Museum Studies) and I had to let all you looking into Museum Studies programs how amazing this course i'm taking is -- it is a leadership and management course. Each week we have someone coming in to speak with us, in addition to the articles and cases we read and discuss. Examples: next week Stephen Weil of the Smithsonian, yesterday Nancy Kolb, Director of the Please Touch in Phila, later on in the semester John Carter, the Pres &CEO of Independence Seaport in Phila, and tons of other directors & administrative staff of Art Museums, Historical Societies. Just in the one day we've had class i learned a wealth of information!
We have people from Art History, Fine Arts, Landscape Architecture, History . . . lots of areas of study all in the Museum Studies track.
look it up!
