Dear Museum Professionals,
The California Association of Museums is looking to
purchase and apply a new database program to keep track of members, events (such
as our Annual Conference and Regional Workshops), merge letters and
reports. Currently CAM uses the outdated Q&A 4 database system made by
Symantec. However, it has been increasingly difficult to effectively and
efficiently manage our records with such an antique system and we are looking
for advice and suggestions for a new, user friendly, applicable database for our
organization.
Thus far, we are considering ACT!, as well as
ACCESS and FILEMAKER PRO but are open to other programs.
As a collegues within the field, if you have any
advice and/or suggestions, please post or email a response.
Thank you in advance,
Teri A. Knoll, Executive
Director
