MPMA's Annual Conference will be held in Topeka, Kansas, from October 2-5, 2002. William Least Heat-Moon - noted author of Blue Highways, River Horse and other books - and Ed Able, CEO of the American Association of Museums, will be the keynote speakers.

Special features include a tour of local private collections, a visit to the beautiful Konza Prairie, and fun events at the many unique museums in the Topeka area. A Safari Pajama Party, featuring popcorn and an award-winning documentary on early 20th-century world travelers Martin and Osa Johnson, will close the conference. Join your peers in a relaxed and educational setting to learn of the latest trends in the museum field and catch up on all that is happening in the mountain-plains region.
