We've heard it before, but What Students Need to Know:  Graduate Training in Museum Studies, from AAM and by Marjorie Schwarzer, is an invaluable resource for trying to figure out a good fit between graduate programs, you, your goals, and your geographical limitations.

AAM also has several other books that can help a person figure out where they need to be and what the job possibilities are in the field.

And just know:  There are no shortcuts.  Each person has to decide on his or her own path themselves.  Take all advice with several grains of salt.

Happy JFKU Student, because I took no shortcuts and researched the heck out of grad programs appropriate for me...  :-)
