Hi Erica! Not from the perspective of a professional registrar or conservator, but as a fellow who helped document a large (2,000+ artworks), important private art collection with a digital camera, I'd say: (1) ensure the digital images are stored on CD-ROMs (two or three copies) which are guaranteed to last quite a long time; and, (2) if possible (affordable, physical space, etc.) print images on high photo-quality paper with an inkjet (or color laser printer), stored in acid-free album sleeves. My two cents. Sincerely, Jay Heuman Visitor & Volunteer Services Coordinator Joslyn Art Museum 2200 Dodge Street, Omaha, NE, 68102 342-3300 (telephone) 342-2376 (fax) www.joslyn.org "You can’t lock up art in a vault and keep it frozen for posterity.
