Cultural
Connections Presents...
Interpreting the
Outdoors: Developing and Designing Exhibits as Part of the Outdoor
Landscape
Wednesday, June
12, 2002, 2:30-5:00 PM
Lawrence Hall of
Science, Berkeley, CA
Outdoor Exhibits have
particular development and design issues, including:
o How to interpret the landscape without obstructing the view?
o What type of activities are appropriate for outdoor settings?
o Which materials and techniques are best suited to outdoor
conditions?
Lynn Stelmah and Brooke Smith
from the Lawrence Hall of Science will host the program and, together
with Eileen Campbell from the San Francisco Zoo, will discuss the
challenges they have recently faced developing outdoor exhibits and
programs.
