Senior Administrative Assistant for an internationally-known museum planning and design firm. We are looking for someone with museum experience to provide administrative and production support primarily in the areas of marketing and museum planning. The work is highly varied and will involve support work for several dozen concurrent museum projects in various stages of development. Tasks include writing and graphic production of marketing proposals and brochures, creating museum planning spreadsheets, helping to write, edit, and produce museum planning reports, keeping project databases up to date, and researching background information on current and potential projects. The job also includes working closely with another assistant to provide backup general administrative support for partners and staff including typing, filing, travel, and telephones. We are looking for strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills; an understanding of budgets and spreadsheets; some facility with graphics and page layout; and strong understanding of business systems and software. Requires excellent organizational skills and follow-through of responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of museums and their work, preferably gained through several years of work experience at a museum or from an undergraduate museum studies program.
