Registration for the AASLH Leadership Institute Closes May 27!

The registration deadline for the American Association for State and Local History's Leadership Institute summer session is fast approaching. This Institute will be held June 27-29 at Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic, Connecticut. Registration is $295 for AASLH members. Deadline for registration is May 27, 2002.

A part of our new "Not Your Ordinary Workshop Series," faculty members Charles Bryan and Sal Cilella will introduce participants to the issues that are facing managers of history organizations and help them develop the organizational skills required to more effectively lead their institutions. Using hands-on, interactive projects and group discussions, this workshop will provide basic training and guidance for staff and volunteers at small to mid-sized history organizations.
This Institute includes a carefully designed two-and-a-half day schedule of interactive sessions, a team of expert faculty, and a notebook of curriculum materials that will assist your learning for many months to come.

This workshop is targeted to new directors (1-3 years), board members, volunteers, directors of development, career path development staff, and new institutions or institutions in transition.

Remaining workshops for the summer series are listed below.
