Getting a new ISBN number of your own is simple via the internet -- search for R. R. Bowker & apply. There's a small fee and it takes a couple of weeks. You will receive several numbers to be used in future publications, using your "base" number. You'll also receive a listing of shops that can convert the numbers into a bar code that includes the retail price - a necessity these days. Your printer simply places the bar code graphic where you specify.
