I have only had one perspective employer state that I would have to pay my own interview and traveling expenses. in that instance a telephone interview took the place of a face-to-face interview. Usually when I've gone for an interview I paid the expenses and the museum reimbursed me. This works out pretty well except for once when it took 3 months and several phone calls to get my money. But perhaps the reason I get my interviews paid for has to do with the fact that I prefer to drive if possible and gas is usually cheaper than an airplane ticket. For the most part, I turn down interviews if I can't be reimbursed at least partially. A museum might interview 4 people for a position, but I might have 6 or more interviews during a job search. Money is tight and I could quickly go broke paying interview expenses. I do make an exception if the position is in my area of speciality. ========================================================= Important Subscriber Information: The Museum-L FAQ file is located at http://www.finalchapter.com/museum-l-faq/ .
