Sorry about the cross posting...

I am interested in a career in fundraising and development particularly in the arts or education museum arena. I see many job listings for development positions, but all of them require anywhere from three to ten years of experience. Alas, I have no experience! (I do have six years of sales experience.) How does one go about getting the training needed??

To complicate things further, I cannot afford to work without pay. My expenses are low, and I can get by on minimal income, but not on zero.

Any ideas? Any suggestions?
