Educational Services Manager The Milwaukee Public Museum is seeking an individual with strong management, leadership interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills to fill our full-time Educational Services Manager position. Responsibilities are directing, developing and evaluating educational programs for Museum audiences through traditional Museum techniques and interactive media. Other duties include supervision of staff, budgets, grant writing, implementation and evaluation of visitor analysis studies, and development of teacher training programs. Requires a Master’s degree in education or related field, 5 to 7 years of experience demonstrating successful planning and implementation of innovative programs in formal & informal learning environments, and a current teaching certification. Instructional Technologies Educator (Educator III) The Milwaukee Public Museum has a full-time opening in the Education department for an individual that can develop, implement, and evaluate natural and human history educational and public programs using high-tech electronic technology. Major responsibilities are to integrate distance learning, multimedia, web site, and other learning technologies into all Museum education initiatives including school programs, teacher training, camp and after school programs and family/adult programs. Other duties are to develop lesson plans and material; teach science and cultural programs; and have on-going input with budgets, grant proposals, and recommendation of educational software and equipment. Must have a basic knowledge of software programs along with extensive experience and/or training in on-line services, multimedia applications and appropriate web-related technologies (HTML, Javascript, Visual C/Ctt,) and systems. A Bachelor’s degree in education or other Museum related field and 3 to 5 yrs related experience. Current teaching certification required. A competitive pay and benefits offered. Public Programming Supervisor The Milwaukee Public Museum is seeking a take charge, creative, highly organized and customer-oriented individual that has the flexibility to work frequent weekend and night hours to fill our full-time Public Programming Supervisor position. Major responsibilities for the position are to implement, schedule and participate in weekend, evening, and occasional weekday programming along with supervising, hiring, training, and scheduling staff. A Bachelor’s degree in education or other Museum-related field; and 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. In addition the candidate must be able to multi-task, have a high level of attention to detail, and have a strong knowledge of computers and spreadsheet applications.
