Although it wasn't me who told the bathroom story at AASLH, according to my
staff we had the same thing happen here a few years ago.

In that case, a senior bus group was viewing the upstairs of the home, and a
gentleman removed the roping blocking the bathroom door, walked in, shut the
door, and proceeded to use the facilities WHILE THE GUIDE WAS STILL
ADDRESSING THE GROUP! Apparently, she ran to the door and pounded on it,
yelling "STOP! That's not a working bathroom!" (the water was turned off
years ago to avoid potential problems). Unfortunately, he had decided he
was going to use the restroom no matter what, and refused to stop. As our
custodian/groundskeeper says, it was one of his least favorite days on the
job!

Enjoying this discussion very much!
