Hi Emily, I'm Alet Boshoff, Coordinator Youth Market development from the
Northern Flagship Institution in Pretoria, South Africa.
Yes , we do run ECD programmes in some of our museums, which we believe have
the correct mix for this age group.
ECD learners love programmes with
* lots of interactive play;
* live animals;
* natural science, not even with live insects, but are still more interestd
in live things;
* musical insruments which they themselves can play ;
* dancing to music;
*singing simple songs, clapping their hand  to the rhythm;
*Skipping to a rhythm;
*listening to stories, but above all watching Puppet Theatre.

One needs however to be careful:
* young ones can be qiute destructive and break thing easily,as they tend to
climb ,sit, lie on everything possible;
* and keep in mind that the various age groups do differ in their likes and
behaviour eg 2 yrs olds  will      differ from 3 yrs olds;
*5 -- 6 yrs old are more steady in behaviour.

It is a wonderful market to tapp into, very rewarding!
Presentators of these prgrammes need however to understand them very well. I
found it necessary to let all my educational officers be specially trained
in working with ECD learners.
Lots of sucess to you, may you enjoy it!
Kind regards, Alet Boshoff
