Hello! Thanks again all for being so helpful.

Our community (population abt 6,000, county about 40,000) is hosting the
Viet Nam wall-traveling version over this Memorial Day weekend. The wall
will actually be on our campus since we have the adequate display space
and parking lots - but the museum is not sponsoring the wall - several
community groups are.

My museum is on a small community college campus & we are trying to
decide what special steps we need to take. I wondered if anyone on the
listserv has had any experience with this traveling version and what
they did? It would be helpful to me even if the wall wasn't at your site
but was in your community.

Normally, we are closed on Memorial day weekend (sat, sun & mon) but
will be open for this. Our college president would like us to be open 24
hours a day for this (we are 2ft/3pt staffers) but what I've heard from
most people is that anyone likely to visit the wall at say 2 a.m. isn't
necessarily looking to visit the museum - they are more interested in
solitude.

So for those of you who might be in the know...
1. What hours were you open during the exhibition? (we know the wall is
open 24 hours/day but do we need to be?)
2. How many visitors did you get to the Museum during this time? If you
have a breakdown of the peak visitation times, that would be really
great (like 50% came from 10-3 p.m.)
3. Did you do any special Viet Nam displays? If so, what kinds of
things?
4. Did you sell anything in your store specifically related to the wall
being in your area?

Thanks all!
