Indigo - The Mesa Library here in Mesa, AZ has a wonderful exhibit by an African-Canadian man, Oswald Harris, who is a resident of Tempe, AZ. He is an amateur photographer but his work is professional quality. He and his wife, Lyda, photographed and took oral histories of many of prominent African-Americans here in the Valley of the Sun. It is an outstanding exhibit and something the library is very proud of. The library will host a slide show of Mr. Harris's photographs on Monday, February 25 at 8:00p.m. Gerri Green Development Officer Mesa Southwest Museum From: Indigo Nights <[log in to unmask]>@HOME.EASE.LSOFT.COM> on 02/01/2002 08:20 PM PST Please respond to Museum discussion list <[log in to unmask]> Sent by: Museum discussion list <[log in to unmask]> [log in to unmask] cc: Subject: Exhibitions Commemorating Black History Month Today commences the celebration of Black History in the United States. I'd like to know about museums that have exhibits on this topic and if they are also holding any supplemental activities such as guest lecturers, festivals, and the like. ===== Indigo Nights [log in to unmask] Looking for a job?
