Dear List: I am contemplating taking a full-time job that I would enjoy, would learn a great deal, and would eventually lead to more interesting and lucrative positions. However, if I took this job I would be making about ½ as much as I currently make and would need to take on a part-time job for at least a year in order to pay my bills. The thought of working retail or waitressing, the two categories of part-time work that most readily comes to mind, does not greatly appeal to me (although I would do either if necessary). Does anyone have any creative suggestions for interesting part-time work that pays more than minimum wage? Just in case, here are some basic facts about me might help you with suggestions: I live in the Washington, DC area, am 26 years of age, and have a master's degree in art history and good computer application skills. In the mean time, I will continue checking the usual job advertisement sources. Please feel free to contact me on or off-line. Thank you very much in advance!
