The Maryland Historical Society seeks an experienced full-time
exhibition curator, working with a team to develop a permanent
exhibition of Maryland history.  Specific responsibilities include
concept development, content and object research, community outreach,
outline and script writing, development and administration of the
academic advisory committee and the project's paper and electronic
files.  GC will work closely with historians, community members,
designers, and media developers.  Position requires MA or comparable
experience in American History (Chesapeake regional history preferred),
knowledge of registrarial techniques, excellent writing, verbal,
interpersonal, and organizational skills, and proven ability to present
history concepts in an exhibition format.  Computer proficiency in MS
Office, Windows environment. Position to start 2.1.2002, through 2005.
