There was an
interesting article a year or two ago in Scientific American on the structural
repairs to the Falling Water building. As I recall, they had a few clever
ways to measure the continuing movement of the cantilevered floors over
significant periods of time. You probably have copies of that article
somewhere in your archive.

Does anyone know if there are devises and or
gauges that are able to monitor shifts or pre-existing cracks in building
walls or foundations?
