Okay, everyone seems to have an opinion on this, but it is important to note that this will all be irrelevant after Saturday.  According to the article, the flag will be burned tomorrow.  I suggest that those of you out there in the New York area who wish to see the flag preserved, call up the authorities in care of the flag.  Suggest  a museum to take the flag, or put them in direct contact with a facility that is prepared to collect the flag and accession it.  Those of you who do not think the flag should be preserved have only to wait for its "retirement" if no action is taken.
