We are a small, city owned, natural history museum, with 4 staff members, and currently occupying 4000 sq foot of rental space in a mall. We are putting a proposal before the City Council, to buy a 22,000 sq foot of property for our future permanent home. As a part of this presentation, we need to prepare a phasing plan consisting of not only renovations (costs and time frames) and moving in, but also all changes/expansion related to exhibits, nature/discovery center, collections, staffing and similar operational type issues to parallel these phases.
