Indigo makes a good request.  Its good practice to send emails to a listserve (especially one the size of museum-l) in plain text format.  This is the only way to guarantee that your message will be readable.  Different people use different programs to read their email, and
depending on how the program works email received with html code or special formatting code could be unreadable, illegible, or garbled -- making it impossible for even the best of eyes to read.
