There are more serious concerns occasioned by Indigo's difficulty than those of us who are moderately annoyed by MIME messages and other HTML inconveniences: there may be people reading this listserv who have difficulty seeing/reading and have to magnify text to a much greater size than the rest of us do. See http://www.cast.org for more information about web design for people with disabilities. This issue is of vital importance to anyone who designs webpages for museums--the webpage should be as accessible as the musem itself! CAST provides a free website checker, BOBBY, which identifies severe problems. Moral: if you want to be safe, use the web interface to post. Your e-mails will be legible to all members of the list, the lack of word wrap which is a problem for many of us who read the list in the web archives should be solved, and you don't run the risk of passing on viruses. Besides the fact that it standardizes format and makes it easier to use the web interface to write, I would also suggest using the web interface to read and setting your delivery options to index if this is possible fo you because you don't have to read every single message and they don't all land in your inbox!
