September 12, 2001 Friends: As a continuing show of support for our President, Congress, the victims and rescue workers dealing with Tuesday’s terrorist attacks, the Wisconsin Maritime Museum at Manitowoc asks that our colleagues nationwide join in flying their flags at half mast through the end of September. The Museum also asks that people decorate their flag poles with red, white, and blue ribbons or bunting. These ribbons are to remain up as a sign of our resolve until the terrorists who planned the attacks of September 11 are brought to justice. Further, the Museum asks that all Americans wear red, white, or blue ribbons, patriotic pins, tie tacks, and other fashion accessories until the terrorists are brought to justice. Local organizations in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, have agreed to participate in this show of support. I urge you to participate also. Thank you for your support. Jay C.
