Mickey,

There are also programs at:

Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, Illinois- Dr. Terry Barnhart Coordinator

Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio- Dr. Marjorie Mclellan Coordinator

Southeast Missouri State University, Cape Girardeau, Missouri- Dr. Bonnie Stepenoff- Coordinator

Eastern Michigan University- Ypsilanti, MI- Dr. Lauren Sickels-Taves- Interim Coordinator.

The EIU program is a one year graduate program in Historical Administration (M.A.). Wright State's program is in Public History (M.A.), while SEMO and and Eastern Michigan's are both in Historic Preservation (I believe these might be M.S.- but my memory fails me at the moment.)

All of them provide a good background in the field- with courses on museum studies, historic preservation, archives, exhibits, interpretation, etc.

I went through the EIU program several years ago, and found it to be an excellent experience (alot of work, but then grad school always is!)

Anyway, good luck on your search. I certainly hope you find a fit that is right for you.
