Belle Meade Plantation in Nashville, Tennessee is seeking an Executive Director to oversee the historic site encompassing 30 acres, a historic home, carriage house and stables, museum store and gift shop along with 8 outbuildings.  Director's responsibilities will include but not be limited to:  Day-to-day oversight for a $1.4 million operating budget with a site serving over 100,000 visitors annually, public relations, fundraising, supervision of paid and volunteer staff, monitoring of collections, acquisitions and special events.  Other responsibilities would include acting as coordinator and advisor to the President of the Board of Directors and ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations.  This position requires proven leadership experience with a talent for motivating and managing employees.  A degree in museum studies, history, business administration or communications recommended, but not required.  An excellent salary and benefit package including healthcare, retirement, vacation and sick days is available.  Send resume and cover letter to:  Ms. Anne Livingston, Search Committee, Belle Meade Plantation, 3732 Central Avenue, Nashville, TN  37205.
