Weekends are made for sticking your foot in the door, which is one way I got started and paid (very little) when I forst got out of undergraduate school. Its a commitment of time for sure but looks dedicated and industrious on a resume, even if you are sitting the reception desk at a small local museum. YOu can ask for more tasks and read their copies of Adviso and other periodicals with job listings! Good Luck.
