Hi all, I wonder if one of you can solve this mystery: Some time ago, we received some plant fiber specimens which had been loaned for identification to a botanist at a near-by university. A graduate student had found them while cleaning up the office of the botanist (who had since retired) and returned them to us. The specimens were accompanied by small, home-made cloth packets containing a wet and oily substance. I was curious about the packets, so I removed them from the specimens and kept them around in a separate container. Three years or so later, the packets are still wet. The contents are odorless and colorless, and I seem to remember that some had leaked out and beaded up when the material first came in. Any information would be appreciated. -- Pam ========================================================= Important Subscriber Information: The Museum-L FAQ file is located at http://www.finalchapter.com/museum-l-faq/ .
