ASSISTANT PROFESSOR/FACULTY FELLOW IN MUSEUM STUDIES The Program in Museum Studies, an interdisciplinary program of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at New York University, invites applications for an Assistant Professor/Faculty Fellow. The initial appointment will be for one year beginning September 2001, renewable annually for a maximum of three years pending administrative and budgetary approval and satisfactory performance. We are seeking an outstanding scholar whose research interests engage the history and theory of museums, and whose knowledge of museums extends significantly beyond his or her area of specialization. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching two Museum Studies courses a year, coordinating student internships on a year-round basis, and actively participating in the life of a dynamic and growing program. Teaching experience and knowledge of museum operations is required, and professional museum experience is highly desirable. Ph.D. must have been completed within three years of the date of application.
