Well-said Claudia. I commend employers for posting what they are willing to pay. Applicants need to know this so that they can factor the wage into the decision to apply. Depending upon the applicant's situation, this may be a good match for someone. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Nicholson>; "Claudia" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Friday, March 16, 2001 8:09 AM Subject: RE: Job Posting: Maryland Museum We have been ragging on prospective employers who post jobs to this list for a long time about not posting salaries. Now, here is one with the salary listed, and we are ragging on them too. Because they listed the salary, candidates who might be interested in the job, but will not take part-time work for the salary listed, will not apply. The job appears to be full-time to me, but obviously, this is all the board feels it can pay at this time. I sure would like to know if they manage to fill this position (can someone post a follow-up). And, really, this is the equivalent of $29,000 to $35,000 PA, if it were full-time. Not to bad, when you think about it. I sure don't want to discourage anyone from posting salary ranges when they post jobs--it's a piece of information that everyone would like to know.
