CURATOR/ASSISTANT DIRECTOR--The Wisconsin Maritime Museum has an immediate opening for a Curator/Assistant Director. The Curator/Assistant Director reports to the Executive Director and administers four full time staff members who manage exhibits, educational programs, collections, buildings and grounds, and the World War II National Historic Landmark submarine USS COBIA. The successful candidate will have a masters degree in museum studies, history, historic preservation, or related field and three to five years experience with interpretation of historical topics in a non-profit environment. Other important skills will include effective oral and written communications, strong leadership capabilities, and computer competence. Self-motivation, enthusiasm, good organizational skills, and ability to work effectively with others are essential to this position. Experience with maritime or Wisconsin history preferred.
