We use Sentricon and similar systems at a couple of our historic sites. Our
installations have only been in place for between 6 and 24 months; therefore,
we cannot substantiate or refute any claims.

Our reasons for installing bait systems were very simple: tenting structures,
which is what we do in Florida, is a structurally abusive procedure, even when
done with great care. And many structures had become infested and thus been
tented at least twice during the preceding 10 year period. Thus, the most
recent infestation was the last straw

Concerns for the integrity of historic buildings during the process are
entirely separate from any concerns about Vikane - the fumigant of choice -
reactions with artifact components. I hasten to add that if the structure is
infested, your objects may also be infested.

Please note, however, we had to tent infested structures and treat objects one
more time before any Sentricon warranty could be offered.
