Education Curator, Legends of the Game Baseball Museum Posted :1/2/2001 Closes : When Filled Duties: Maintains, develops, and implements new and existing adult/children programs, including school tours, preschool programs, adult education, and education outreach. Responsible for communication activities such as newsletter writing, press releases/advertising, and curricular materials. Assists Director with special projects. Lecturing and teaching as time permits. Required Qualifications: M.A. in education, museum science, American studies, history, or related field. Two to four years experience in museum education. Demonstrated working knowledge of current educational / museum theory and state curricula. Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing education programs. Experience in scheduling staff and dedication to innovation and team processes. Good organization skills. Computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, and communications applications. Exhibits self motivation and enthusiasm. Demonstrated ability to communicate in oral and print formats, to supervise others, establish and maintain effective working relationships and manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to design signage, surveys, questionnaires, etc. a plus.
