CURATOR
The Ventura County Museum of History & Art seeks
a dynamic, hands-on curator to be responsible for planning, installation and
maintenance of its temporary and long-term exhibitions. These include four or
more changing exhibitions per year, the George Stuart Historical Figures, a
long-term regional history exhibit, and a planned farm implement museum offsite.
The curator will work with other museum staff to write interpretive materials
and press releases, prepare funding requests, plan receptions and public
programs, train volunteers and assist in general operation of the museum. The
successful candidate should have a degree in history, art or related fields,
with work experience in a museum or gallery setting. Salary is competitive, with
