A few suggestions for you.

1. In addition to the AAM Code, see the ICOM code of ethics. It is from the International Council of Museums which was set up by a UN organization. This code is relatively similar to the AAM's.

2. See the archives of this listserv. I'm sure there have been countless questions and replies concerning the aspects of your questions.

3. The AAM website also has a bookstore which has museum books in it. Also check with your state and regional museums associations. They can help and probably have books for sale also.
