                  History Education Program Manager*

                   Starting salary: $31,072/year

Responsible for developing, directing and administering the museum's =
education program. The museum, dedicated primarily to 20th century history =
of the Phoenix metropolitan area and central Arizona, seeks an expereinced =
educator and leader with sound management abilities to expand existing =
education programs; supervise department staff and volunteers; work with =
collections and exhibits to develop educational programs and provide =
direction for interpretative plans; refine the docent program; develop =
programs for the public, interns, and university audiences; establish =
strategic plans for the department; prepare and manage budgets.  Preferred =
candidates will have general knowledge of Arizona history or the West; be =
a self-starter and team player; possess strong written, organizational and =
verbal communication skills, have a Bachelor's degree in education, museum =
studies, American history or related field, and four years of related =
technical experience.
