A 500 year old prehistoric basket is displayed with the work of modern kodiak weavers such as Arlene Skinner, Mara Andrewvitch, Christine Ignatin, Polly Tunohun, Martha Kahutak, Eleanor Naumoff, and June Simeonoff Pardue. Photographs by Sven Haakanson, Jr. enhance the exhibit that includes all aspects of basket weaving-collecting and curing raw materials, dying, weaving, and embellishment.
