Arts Teachers

The 18th Street Arts Complex seeks arts teachers for eight-week sessions at middle schools in the Santa Monica/Venice/Mar Vista area of Los Angeles during the 2000-2001 school year.  Artists in all media are welcome to apply, but individuals must be based in the L.A. area.  Pay range is approximately $35-$40 per hour at three paid hours per week.  Artists of color and competent artist practitioners without teaching experience are encouraged to apply.  Please fax cover letter and resumé to Michael Sakamoto at (310) 453-4347 or e-mail [log in to unmask]  Or mail to Arts Education Program, The 18th Street Arts Complex, 1639 18th Street, Santa Monica, CA 90404.  Applications will be taken on an ongoing basis, but the Fall semester deadline is Friday, September 1, 2000.
