Lara-
I have interned for a corporate art consulting firm in
Boston. What the company did was hold work by
contemporary artists on consignment in their gallery,
then place it in corporate buildings in the Boston
area. They also had a print division, which placed
prints in larger environments such as hospitals and
hotels. The job of the consultant is to meet with
potential clients, choose approproiate artwork for
their environment, and try to sell them on it.
Therefore, interior design knowledge is helpful. From
my understanding, you can make a viable career of it.
