High School Internship Opportunity Available
at the Alutiiq Museum

WHAT: Archaeological Site Aide.

The aide will work with the museum’s archaeological staff in the Community Archaeology dig at the Array Site, a prehistoric fishing village on the banks of the Buskin River at USCG CommSta Kodiak. Duties will include participating in project set up, assisting with all aspects of the excavation (digging, screening, mapping, artifact documentation), washing artifacts, sorting, organizing, and numbering objects.  The pay is $8.00/hour for a two week period.

WHO:  Current high school student or 2000 graduate

- 16 years or older
- Of Alutiiq descent

WHEN: 8:30 - 5:00pm  July 10-July 21, 2000.  Monday - Friday
