speaking as a member of the dyslexic community i love aduio tours they take the burdern off of reading and with the casseats some of them allow you to rewind to catch what you miss and they are not distracting to others -----Original Message----- From: Trent A. I felt unable to interact with others in my group and it is difficult to ask a cassette player questions. You might try using speakers placed throughout your tour that can be activated by a button or motion sensor. While this still does not allow the visitor to ask questions at least the visitors are able to communicate more with each other than they would while wearing headphones. ----- Original Message ----- From: Susan Zickel <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Friday, June 16, 2000 8:08 AM Subject: audio tours We are an outdoor museum looking to design and implement an audio tour. What are other people's experiences with audio tours and equipment at outdoor museums? I am interested in both the visitor and museum perspectives. I'd appreciate any comments and suggestions. Many thanks, Susan =================== Important Subscriber Information: The Museum-L FAQ file is located at http://www.finalchapter.com/museum-l-faq/ .
