The project entitled Improving the tourist experience: Evaluation of interpretation components of guided tours in National Parks is funded by the Co-operative Research Centre for Sustainable Tourism Pty Ltd and the project partners. The project requires a research assistant to assist with: =B7 literature searching and reviewing =B7 drawing a sample, contacting respondents and arranging data collection =B7 administration of the evaluation tool in Victorian National Parks =B7 data input and analysis =B7 assessment of the usefulness of the evaluation tool =B7 assistance with report preparation. DURATION, HOURS AND PAY The position will commence no later than 2 October 2000 and conclude at the end of March 2001. The hours of work per week may vary over the course of the project and some weekend work will be required. Remuneration will be at the rate of AUS$24.88 per hour (gross) and there is a budget for approximately 820 hours of work. LOCATION The research assistant will be based at the Parks Victoria head office located in Melbourne, Australia. Much of the data collection will involve participating in tours operated in several National Parks in Victoria.
