One of my graduate classes at Arizona State developed an online exhibit for a final project.  The class was called Museums and the Internet, and the website is http://www.public.asu.edu/~aplatoff/class/tiara/

The annual "Museums and the Web" conference coordinated by Archives & Museum
Informatics features a "Best of the Web" juried competition each year.  This
year's winners were announced in April and are listed online at
