Hi Donna and other Museum-Lers: Just an addition to your message about A.M. (Albert) Brooking. Donna wrote: > A.M. Brookings who founded the "House of Yesteryear" museum in Hastings, Nebraska is buried in the floor of that museum. The inscription on his grave reads "If you seek my monument, look around you." Actually, Brooking is buried in the Hastings Museum of Natural and Cultural History located in Hastings, Nebraska. In 1926, he founded the museum. In 1938 a new museum building was built and was designed for Brooking to be buried in the basement floor of the museum in the center of the lightwell. Visitors can see the grave from all three levels of the museum.
