I am currentlly working on an internship/senior thesis at a small museum that specializes in the French-Indian Fur Trade. We do interpretations with our men being Courier De Bois and our females being Metis'. My responsibility is to make sure the women's roles are accurate. I've found Sylvia Van Kirk's and Jennifer Brown's works very helpful when it comes to women connected with the fur trade companies, but am having trouble finding any good information on the involvement of women with the smaller voyageurs and Courier De Bois. Can anyone help me. Also I am compiling a list of other museums that specialize in this aspect of US/Canadian history does anyone know of others? Thanks Annmarie. ========================================================= Important Subscriber Information: The Museum-L FAQ file is located at http://www.finalchapter.com/museum-l-faq/ .
