MUSEUM MANAGER The City of Kennesaw is seeking candidates for the position of Museum Manager for the Kennesaw Civil War Museum. The Museum houses the famed steam locomotive General, which was used in the Andrews Raid on April 12, 1862, in addition to a wide range of archival documents, photographs, and memorabilia. The responsibilities of this position are associated with general administration of the museum including development and oversight of budget, interpretation, education, and exhibition. The Museum Manager works closely with the Kennesaw Museum Foundation to develop and implement strategies for an ongoing capital campaign and continue progress on a TEA-21 funded expansion project. Qualified candidates must demonstrate proven skills in communication, proper curatorial practice and creative problem solving. A B.A. in History, Museum Studies or a related field is preferred.
