Hello Madeleine,
We have two directional speaker arrays from Dakota Audio http://www.dakotaaudio.com/
that work very well, especially for spoken word soundtracks.
All the best

Hi Museum L team,

We are creating an exhibition that recreates Department of State-funded exhibits of American products (wallpaper, fabrics, and product packaging) that were sent to West Germany in the early 1950s as propaganda.

We recently acquired some parabolic speakers, as advisors suggested that audio of the original exhibit designers talking about their exhibits is played in various parts of the new exhibition, particularly when visitors first walk in. We want the sound to reach a limited area so we can have different tracks playing in different parts of the small gallery without much bleed-over.

Can you point me to other exhibitions that have used a similar approach to sound? Examples, or advice on equipment, would be helpful.

Thanks so much!
Madeleine
