Our academic community is attempting to clarify what academic freedom
means at Saint Mary's College of California. The library and art gallery
would like to suggest language for any revised policy statement that would
encompass what we collect and exhibit. If anyone out there has policy
statements on academic freedom/artistic freedom/freedom of expression in
the museum context, expecially in university/college museums, I would
appreciate receiving them. If there's a key sentence or two you could
e-mail to this list it would probably be of general interest.

Thanks,

Ann Harlow, Director
